The proceeds from our Wine Survivor Contest will be given to the United Way to help end poverty in Edmonton and area. To play Wine Survivor, each individual entry is valued at $20 plus a minimum $15 bottle of wine to be added to the pot. When you fill out your online entry, you have the choice to have Compass Centre purchase wine on your behalf for a total of $35. Alternatively, if you choose to purchase a bottle of wine (minimum $15) yourself, please drop it off at Compass Centre, 703, 10050 112 Street on or before December 3rd. 

There will be daily elimination draws as follows:

1. Between December 4th to December 19th, names will be drawn for elimination before 10 a.m. 

​2. An additional draw will take place on December 19th at 4:30 to determine the Ultimate Survivor

3. Buying immunities can keep you in the game longer. The rules for immunity are as follows:

• Each person can purchase a maximum of 2 immunities.

  • Immunities are $5 each. They can be purchased when you purchase your entry or when your name is drawn.

    • If immunities are pre-purchased they will be automatically applied if your name is drawn

    • If your name is drawn and you have not purchased immunity, you have until 4:30 p.m. on the day of elimination to purchase immunity and have your name added back.

  • Immunities will not be sold after December 14th.

  • Immunities are not valid after Day 10 ( December 17th) of the daily draws.

 

There is no cash prize.

 

Rules:

1. You must be at least 18 years of age to enter the contest.

2. Beginning at the open of business on November 20, 2018, entries will be accepted until December 3rd, 2018 6 pm (the Entry Period).

3. There are two (2) different ways of to sign up:

   • Wine Survivor

   • Wine Survivor + Wine Bottle - Entry fee is $20 cash plus a bottle of wine with a minimum price of $15.00 (before taxes and bottle deposit)

4. If you opt to have wine purchased by Compass Centre, it will be based on the retail value of $15/bottle and will be at the discretion of Compass Centre whether it will be red or white wine. 

5. The amount of wine to be won will be determined based on the number of entrants who purchase entries during the Entry Period.

6. Be sure to complete your first name, last name, contact phone number and email address on the online entry.

7. Elimination Draw Dates will take place daily at the Compass Centre office as follows:
   a. Elimination draws commence December 4, 2018.  
   b. Elimination Round One to Twelve will take place daily at 9:00 am
       An email will be sent to all participants by 10:05 am each day, excluding Saturdays and Sundays
   c. Elimination Round Thirteen: Wednesday, December 19th, 2018 at 4:30 p.m.
         Final four names will be drawn determining the Ultimate Wine Survivor

8. Compass Centre will also publish eliminated names on the dedicated web page as well send the list out in an email with the link.

9. All those individuals winning bottles of wine will be notified by a phone call and by email to the email address.

10. The wine will be available to be picked up from Compass Centre, 703, 10050 112 Street. The winner will be responsible for shipping charges otherwise.
